Rare Pendant, Scandinavian Modern

This rare brass pendant with 15 rhombus shaped glass pieces by glassmaker Orrefors. Designed by Carl Fagerlund, is an example of his splendid design skills. Adjustable height, ca 100 cm, pendant excl. chain ca 45 cm high. One E27 bulb. The lamp is in good condition, smaller dents occure on a few of the rhombus glass pieces. Carl Fagerlund (1915-2011) mastered the art of designing light fixtures. He worked as a designer at Orrefors between 1946-80. He is mostly know for his work at Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde, Frederiksbergs rådhus, Kiruna stadshus, Swedish Embassy in Tokyo, and General Electrics HQ, USA. He won the silver medal at the 11th triennale in Milan 1957.
