Werner West (Finland, 1890-1959) during the 1920s he did travel studies in Scandinavia, Germany and Italy. He worked at Kotiteollisuus Oy Pirtti and as a furniture and interior designer at Stockmann Oy. He was one of the main designers who brought international functionalism to Finland. His soft rounded shapes are characteristic for his designs. One of his most famous interior design works was for for the Parlament in Helsinki.
