Here, the editor tearfully turned away from a hand-carved wooden stool in Africa because it was too heavy, and bought a print of Picasso's porcelain in a walnut frame. The shop has been open since the 16th of August but I haven´t yet had an official opening. Yet so many amazing customers have found their way to the showroom and I´m so happy to be back in the wonderful neighbour, this time under my own direction.

Between 1949-1959, Grossman also worked as an architect and interior designer. One of her best qualities was building houses on difficult terrain and she was appreciated for her experimental boldness. The Hurley Residence and Kiernan House are great examples of her ability to build on hillsides. Open floor plans, movable walls and built-in storage were well suited to the modern Californian lifestyle.
